What Can I Do with a Minor in Criminology and Criminal Justice?

If you have a passion for helping others and want to explore the relationships between law and society, a minor in Criminal Justice might be the perfect addition to your major. Our minor allows you to explore patterns and causes of crime and study such areas as immigration, border security, terrorism, environmental crime, and many more.

The courses you'll complete teach you how to put theory into practice (for example, learning how to make schools safer, then going into a local school and developing violence prevention programs for young people). You will also study how American media and entertainment outlets shape public perceptions of the criminal justice system, and how innocent people can be convicted of crimes.
