Careers

What Can I Do with a Minor in Italian?

With a Minor in Italian, students are exposed to the culture and language that brought the world the Enlightenment movement, the pinnacle of high fashion (Armani, Gucci, Valentino), some of the most elite producers of motor vehicles (FIAT, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Ducati), the leaders in wine and culinary traditions, major works of Western literature (Dante Petrarch, Boccaccio, Machiavelli), architecture, and art (Brunelleschi, Michelangelo, Da Vinci, Donatello, Giotto).  If students are interested in any of these fields, a minor in Italian proves useful, if not, mandatory. Specific professions include, but are not limited to, business and commerce in the aforementioned fields, education, and the fashion, travel and food industries.
