What Can I Do with a Minor in Military Leadership?

At NAU Lumberjack Battalion, you will learn firsthand what it takes to lead others, motivate groups, and develop your leadership potential. Freshman and sophomore level Military Science Courses are open to students who have the potential to become commissioned Army officers. Non-contracted students have no obligation of service to the Army.

The Military Science Minor is available to students completing the Advanced Course. The Advanced Course is a two year obligatory program and is open to any full-time student who meets the Basic course requirements, contracting requirements, and is fully eligible to commission into the United States Army. Students participate in: Physical Training, Leadership Labs, Field Training Exercises, Instruction from experienced Army Officers and NCOs, Mentorship by ROTC Cadet Leaders.
