If you think learning a language spoken by an estimated 35 million people in the U.S.--and 400 million worldwide--will give you a leg up in the job market, you're right. Each day, the world becomes more close-knit. Global trade, the Internet, and improvements in transportation are accelerating rates of cultural and intellectual exchange. In this international climate, the second-language skills you'll acquire by minoring in Spanish will complement any major.

Prepare for the future by immersing yourself in diversity. With linguistic, literary, and cultural approaches to language study, you will learn to think critically and develop skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. You will grow to understand and appreciate diverse cultures.
