Forestry
Description: Silviculture is applied forest ecology. This course, paired with FOR 313 and FOR 314 (Forest Ecology I and II, respectively), introduces students to the application of ecological knowledge of the management of forests. Students will be introduced to the principles and theories of silviculture, both in the classroom and in forest-based field labs. 2 hrs. lecture, 1 hr. lab. Letter grade only. Course fee required.
