Description: This course examines the background of psychological theories and applications related to injuries/illnesses and subsequent rehabilitation of the physically active. The course is designed to develop the graduate students' ability to optimize rehabilitative efforts of injuries & illnesses of the physically active. Techniques such as social support, imagery, education, and modeling will be used. Eating disorders, substance abuse, and disability are included. Letter grade only.
