Psychology
Description: Abnormal Psychology is the study of abnormal or dysfunctional emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. The course focuses on experiences (symptoms) that deviate from cultural norms and cause clinically significant distress as well as psychosocial dysfunction. We will focus on the classification of psychological disorders into various classes of disorders, the disorders themselves, and symptoms of each disorder. Other major components involve learning about the etiology (risk factors for) and research-supported treatments for psychological disorders. Letter grade only.
