Mechanical Engineering
ME 440 - Fluid Mechanics II
Description: Applications of the governing differential and integral equations of fluid mechanics to fundamental problems in internal flows, pipe flow, external flows, turbulent and laminar flows, boundary layers, lift and drag. Also presented are applications of dimensional analysis, and introductions to compressible flow, fluid machinery, and computational fluid dynamics. Principles are reinforced with laboratory experiments. Letter grade only. Course fee required.
