ES 291 - Intersectional Movements Of Race, Class, Gender, And Sexuality

Description: This course analyzes race, class, gender and sexuality as intersectional structures which affect power, inform identities, and impact systemic interactions in the United States. It also examines how intersectionality, and the matrix of inequality, have shaped the production of knowledge. Comparative perspectives of African American, Latina/o/Chicana/o, Asian American, and Native American communities will be highlighted throughout the course, providing a critical lens through which intersectional epistemologies can be foregrounded.
