Description: This class will explore the biological and physical nature of global environmental changes and the social, political, economic, cultural and historic contexts in which they originate with a particular emphasis on the developing world. The class will evaluate the primary literature on current topics in global environmental change and resource conservation (e.g. climate and forests) and innovative solutions across scales will be addressed. Letter grade only. May be repeated for up to 6 units of credit.
