Description: Course focuses on forensic archaeological field methods, theories, protocols, medico-legal terms and concepts, history and role of forensic archaeology in processing outdoor crime scene, mass casualty, missing persons, and human rights violation sites. Students will work with simulated clandestine burials, body scatters and replica bones for hands-on experience with search, excavation, mapping, and documentation of a body recovery site. Letter grade only. Course fee required.
