Educational Leadership
Description: The International Education field is constantly changing based on national and international events. These events can both originate from outside of the IE field or from within the field, and can have profound impacts on different facets of the field. How international education professionals react to these events will affect international mobility flows, internationalization strategy, and the development of a country's higher education sector. This course will allow students to critically analyze Current Issues in international education including their impact on the field as well as how IE professionals should react to these events. Students will start by developing a foundational understanding of the international education field in light of such events. The course will then examine past events and their impact on the field. The course will end by asking students to research current events and recommend appropriate reactions to them. Letter grade only.
