Description: This course is designed to reinforce the fundamentals of Japanese introduced in First and Second Year Japanese, while introducing more complex forms of expressions, vocabulary, grammatical structures, and strategies for communication. This course aims at developing the functional ability to communicate in Japanese beyond the survival level and is concerned with the students' level of the proficiency in using Japanese for realistic, communicative purposes. It aims at developing the deeper understanding of Japanese culture as well. Letter grade only.
