ANT 255 - Murder, Mayhem And Madness: The Development Of Forensic Science In Cultural And Historical Context


Description: An anthropological exploration of the development of forensic science in conjunction with changing cultural attitudes and influences on violent crime, public execution, torture, criminals, and treatment of the "criminally insane." Includes the study of serial and mass murderers using case studies from the Ancient World to Modern society, viewed through the lens of gender, age, social class, and ethnicity. Letter grade only.
