Statistics
Description: This course will teach you the fundamental descriptive and inferential statistics that are used to analyze business and management problems. With an emphasis on statistical literacy and analytical thinking, topics include probability, correlations, simple and multiple regression, hypothesis testing and confidence intervals, basic model building and testing and technology. You will explore data gathering and data analysis tools to address both social questions and the evaluation of scientific hypotheses. The statistical problems are derived from a variety of subject-matter areas, including economics, finance, operations management, and human resources management, and data analysis will be conducted primarily using Microsoft Excel. Letter grade only.
