ESE 575 - Consultation, Collaboration And Supervision To Provide Positive Behavior Support
Description: The purpose of this course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to consult and work collaboratively with teams responsible for the education, habilitation, care, and support of individuals with behavior and/or learning challenges. Roles, responsibilities, and effective practices in supervision will be considered in depth, including strategies for monitoring performance, providing feedback, creating incentives to support performance. This course builds on previous knowledge of effective teaching and behavior change strategies, and adds to that knowledge by exploration of the skills needed work effectively with staff and caregivers. Letter grade only.
