FOR 321 - Forest Watershed Management

Description: The purpose of this class is to provide students with the skills and knowledge required to understand how forest watersheds function and the effects of management practices on the structure and function of watersheds. Course content includes the effects including fire (both wild and prescribed), harvesting, and road construction on water yield and quality. Students in the course will learn to identify and explain Best Management Practices related to watershed management. In addition, the subject matter in this course is required for Society of American Foresters Accreditation. Letter grade only.
