Physical Therapy

PT 695 - Contemporary Pt Practice 2

Description: In this course, students will develop the day-to-day skill set necessary to successfully understand, communicate, and interact with all stakeholders at both an individual level and population level, and will be prepared to effectively manage and improve the delivery of physical therapy services to real and/or potential patients and clients. The 21st Century Physical Therapist recognizes and understands that successful clinical practice recognizes and incorporates personal and contextual factors to achieve the best outcomes, and more times than not, must go above and beyond "the four walls of the clinic" to do so. These physical therapists integrate this knowledge every day with the patients and clients they interact with to practice "upstream" and in turn, reduce the burden on healthcare downstream. Letter grade only.
