PT 702 - Patient Management 1
Description: This course will use a case-based approach to introduce learners to the physical therapist patient/client management framework incorporating the therapeutic alliance and essentials of clinical decision-making and management strategy determination, history taking, systems review, and movement analysis including normal gait. Foundational skills will also be introduced including patient handling, basic positioning, safety, universal precautions, and an introduction to the use of evidence to support practice decisions. An understanding of typical human development and aging across the body systems will be used to inform movement analysis and patient/client management. Letter grade only.
