Physical Therapy
Description: This course examines the movement science system with an emphasis on education, neuromotor training, exercise science, pain science, and manual therapy in patients/clients with musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions. Students will integrate knowledge of diagnostic imaging, pharmacology, and medical management to address impairments, promote function, and maximize participation in patients/clients with musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions. Evidence-informed practice is emphasized, and students will appraise the applicability and quality of information to guide clinical decision-making. Biophysical agents are integrated into clinical thinking to provide complementary avenues to pain management and support other interventions. Letter grade only.
