ANT 480 - Medical Anthropology

Description: An introduction to the subfield of medical anthropology. Emphasis is placed on examining the intersections of culture, health, and disease. Topics include illness experiences, biocultural perspectives, evolution and health, political-economic and social determinates of health, global health, and the application of anthropological methods to studying health and disease. Co-convenes w/ ANT 580. Letter grade only.
