Description: This course provides an in-depth examination of Hindu scripture, from the early Vedic Period (~ 1500 BCE) through the great epics, (the Mahabharata and the Ramayana, the Puranas, the Tantras) and the non-sectarian devotional literature by surveying its features according to the categories of comparative religion, and attending to its historical development and internal diversity.
