Description: This course examines the cinematic representation of diverse experiences of Latinos/as (Chicanos/Mexican Americans, Puerto Ricans, and Cuban Americans) in the United States in historical and social contexts. By exploring gender, race and ethnicity in the United States, students consider how these matters influence the perception of U.S. Latinos/as, people of color, through the medium of cinema. Letter grade only.
