Description: Forest operations, specifically logging and roads, are key tools and processes to manage forest land. Thus, this course will focus on the foundational skills, knowledge, and attitudes required to successfully understand and plan forest operations. Specifically logging operations and forest road design, construction, and maintenance. We will also carefully identify Best Management Practices associated with logging and forest roads. 2 hrs lecture, 3 hrs lab. Letter grade only.
