ME 423 - Flight Dynamics
Description: Theory and applications the dynamics of fixed wing aircraft. Introduction to aerodynamic forces. Development of aircraft stability with considerations to aircraft design. Development of dynamic equations of motion, stability derivatives, control derivatives, state-space system modeling, and simulation of system response. Introduction to aircraft controls and multi-degree of freedom systems dynamics including quad-rotor vehicles. Co-convened with ME 523. Letter grade only.
