COM 542 - Ethics And Strategies In Science Communication

Description: Examination of statistical significance, the use of math skills to "translate" numbers into forms that contribute to understanding, and how quantitative reasoning tools can facilitate ethical and accurate science communication. Students learn the challenges of communicating about controversial topics in science and the role cultural considerations play in determining how stories are researched and told. Letter grade only.
