SPA 407 - U. S. Latino Cultures
Description: This course will introduce students to the diverse cultures of Latina/o groups in the United States (i.e. Chicano/Mexican American, Cuban American, Dominican American, Puerto Rican, Central American and South American). Students will learn about the historical contexts of the cultural and social issues affecting these groups. Students will also learn about major Latina/o figures who have contributed to U.S. society. Letter grade only. May be repeated for a maximum of 6 units.
