BIO 537 - Grant Writing

Description: An introduction to techniques necessary to produce a successful grant application for research support from federal and private agencies and to develop skills needed to review and revise grant proposals. The course also introduces the issues and conventions for grant administration such as indirect (overhead) cost calculations, matching funds, group proposals, and how to respond to reviewers' comments. At the end of the course, you will have a proposal that could be submitted to federal agencies. Cross-listed with BE 537. Letter grade only.
