Description: This course explores transnational crime (TNC) and public safety issues in the border region and strategies for addressing them, including international cooperation. Emphasis is placed on drug crime, human trafficking, counterfeit goods, intellectual property theft, natural disaster, health and food safety issues as well as crime arising from globalization.
