Description: This course will prepare the student for real-world applications in RNA-Seq. We will review quantitative methods for gene transcription in a single-organism, as well as bacterial-community settings. Special emphasis will be placed on computational and statistical methods of identifying differentially expressed genes and their impact on observed phenotypes. Co-convened with INF 516.
