PT 694 - Contemporary Pt Practice 1

Description: This course introduces learners to the physical therapy profession through an exploration of the roles, responsibilities, and privileges that come with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Emphasis is directed towards application of the concepts of professional identity formation, professionalism, and person-centered care. Learners develop an understanding of their fiduciary responsibilities to patients/clients and the importance of a therapeutic alliance built on trust and mutual respect, advocacy for the patient's/client's best interest, and the commitment to the provision of value-based care. Letter grade only.
