Description: This course explores the dynamic landscape of health and wellness from a social work perspective. Students will critically examine evolving trends, models, and theories related to health promotion, prevention, and intervention. Through a combination of readings, discussions, case studies, and videos, students will gain insights into the complex interplay of social, cultural, economic, and political factors that influence individual and community well-being. The course will equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to address contemporary health and wellness challenges in their future social work practice. Letter grade only.
