Description: Welcome to Introduction to Scientific Literacy! This 2-credit course is designed to provide students with the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the complex world of scientific literature and research. The course will focus on developing critical thinking, information literacy, and research skills relevant to the field of forestry. Students will explore the principles of scientific inquiry, the structure of scientific papers, and effective communication of scientific ideas. Through practical exercises, readings, and discussions, students will gain the tools they need to become scientifically literate and engaged members of the forestry community. Letter grade only.
