STA 275 - Statistical Analysis

Description: A calculus-based applied statistics course. Descriptive statistics; discrete and continuous random variables; probability distributions including binomial, Poisson, normal, and t-distributions; one- and two-sample hypothesis tests and confidence intervals; simple linear regression and correlation. For the Liberal Studies Program, this course will fulfill either the Mathematics foundation requirement or a Science Applied Science distribution block requirement. If you have already fulfilled your Mathematics foundation requirement, this course will fulfill a Science Applied Science distribution block requirement. For the General Studies Program, this course will fulfill either the Mathematics foundation requirement or a Natural Science distribution block requirement. If you have already fulfilled your Mathematics foundation requirement, this course will fulfill a Natural Science distribution block requirement. Credit cannot be earned in both STA 270 and STA 275. Letter grade only.
