ME 575 - Adaptive Materials And Systems
Description: Introduction to concepts related to the behavior of adaptive/smart materials and systems including modeling, analytical representations and applications. Piezoelectric materials, shape memory alloys, electroactive polymers and magnetorheological fluids are considered. Builds on fundamental concepts first introduced in Material Science, Mechanics of Materials and Differential Equations. Co-convened with ME 475. Letter grade only.
