POS 318 - American Trial Procedure And Legal Reasoning
Description: This course focuses on the role of trial courts in the American legal system. Particular attention is given to trial proceedings and related topics including liability/culpability, due process, triadic dispute resolution, and adversarial legalism. The course explores the process of legal reasoning to better understand how judges shape and apply law, and how that in turn influences attorneys. In order to more deeply understand course topics, students participate in mock trial exercises. Letter grade only. May be repeated for up to 6 units of credit.
