Description: This course provides learners with core capabilities in understanding and applying the principles and tools of healthcare economics to inform the decision making of a health care manager. Topics include: determinants of healthcare spending; demand for health and healthcare services; fundamentals of health insurances; the role of physicians and hospitals as supply for healthcare services; and cost of illnesses and cost-effectiveness analysis.
