Description: This course serves the Classics minor by focusing on the origins of words and their historical semantic development (i.e. change in meaning over time). Elements of word formation (e.g. prefixes, suffixes, and bases), primarily from Greek and Latin, will be studied in the course learning modules on Canvas. Our main goal is to improve our ability to analyze and break down words into their component parts. Letter grade only.
