FW 275 - Exercise Leadership


Description: This course will prepare students in the knowledge and skills necessary in teaching and leading clients in the proper and safe execution of exercise techniques. Emphasis will be on students identifying and correcting improper technique as well as demonstrating appropriate exercises whether one-on-one or in a group setting. Students will learn how to organize and lead a client(s) through warm-up, cool-down, flexibility, muscular fitness, and cardiovascular exercise sessions. In addition, different types of group fitness classes will be discussed and an understanding of how to organize and lead such classes will be practiced. Letter grade only.
