Description: This course will introduce students to applied behavioral research in strategic communication, enabling them to develop hands-on projects and interpret real-world data. Classes dive into a variety of research techniques -- from social media data mining and focus groups to survey -- while exploring how businesses succeed or stumble in today's fast-evolving digital landscape. Through case studies, students will learn to think like a strategic communication professional. They will develop critical skills for navigating key challenges such as crisis management, consumer relations, employee communication, entertainment PR, and audience engagement in a networked, digital-driven world. Letter grade only.
