Public Relations
Description: Students work with professional clients to address communication challenges relevant to for-profit or nonprofit organizations. During the semester students identify communication goals, determine appropriate communication objectives, and strategies for achieving those objectives. Communication tactics include traditional news media outreach, events, website updates and SEO, and social media. Students are expected to prepare a comprehensive communication plan, work with teams, and deliver a client presentation at the end of the semester. Letter grade only. May be repeated for up to 6 units of credit.
