EPS 604 - Introduction To School Psychology: History And Current Trends
Description: This course introduces students to the history and field of school psychology and contemporary issues and trends in school psychology. Content of the course includes history, professional organizations and publications, employment settings, credentialing, federal legislation, and standards of ethical practice. Emphasis is given to the role and function of the school psychologist, the organization of schools and special service delivery models, and the professional relationship with other school personnel, parents, children and referral sources. Letter grade only.
