AST 265 - Computational Analysis In Astronomy

Description: This course introduces students to computational methods essential for scientific analysis in astronomy and related fields. Students will develop skills in programming, data handling, and statistical analysis using Python and Jupyter Notebooks. The course covers key topics such as numerical techniques, data visualization, astronomical dataset analysis and the use of large astronomical databases. These computational skills are broadly applicable to research in laboratory settings, observational astronomy, and planetary science. Letter grade only.
