Educational Psychology
Description: This course will prepare you to conduct rigorous, ethical, and community-focused evaluations and community needs assessments, emphasizing both theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for making data-driven decisions in diverse community settings. Through a focus on the critical areas of community engagement, program effectiveness, and sustainability, students will explore quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods evaluation designs. The course emphasizes ethical considerations in data collection and analysis, as well as the importance of community involvement in the assessment process. Students will gain hands-on experience through case studies and a final project that includes designing an evaluation plan, engaging with community stakeholders, assessing program outcomes, and effectively presenting findings to diverse audiences. Letter grade only.
