HUM 550 - Community And Public Humanities Programming


Description: This course provides a foundation to Community and Public Humanities Programming, an area of study that examines how people apply humanistic learning to public life and how they use public/virtual spaces to process and document the human experience. It explores public and community interaction with the humanities and emphasizes the ways arts and cultural heritage institutions practice engaged scholarship through a wide array of programming, such as exhibitions, performances, digital projects, tours, collaborative projects, and others. Co-convenes with HUM 450. Letter grade only.
