EMGT 370 - Critical Infrastructure Protection

Description: This course introduces the principles of critical infrastructure protection and resilience. Students will examine essential systems and assets that support national security, economic stability, and public health, exploring threats, vulnerabilities, and interdependencies among sectors. Topics include risk assessment methodologies, terrorist threats, weapons of mass destruction, and emergency response strategies. Emphasis is placed on the roles of government and private entities in safeguarding infrastructure. Through applied exercises, students learn to develop basic security plans and communicate protection strategies effectively. This course will prepare students to support infrastructure security and community resilience efforts. Letter grade only.
