Description: Overview of the substance-related and addictive disorders with emphasis on selection and implementation of treatment and prevention strategies consistent with diagnosis, including attention to the impact of dual-diagnosis, psychopathology, and diversity issues. Students will gain an understanding of measurement and psychometrics as applied to addiction, in addition to the range of abused substances and their treatment. Letter grade only.
