Description: This course provides principles and strategies for teaching science to adolescents including students with exceptionalities, providing research-based instructional and planning strategies. In addition, the course provides research-based strategies to improve the classroom learning environment and classroom management as well as professional responsibility and conduct. Finally, the course coordinates student practicums in secondary science classrooms prior to student teaching. Pass/Fail only. May be repeated for up to 12 units of credit.
