Description: This course is designed to support first year teachers as they navigate the transition between their teacher preparation program and the school system where they are teaching. Instruction will emphasize further skill development needed by novice teachers such as classroom management, communication, record keeping, and material resources selection while reinforcing content and pedagogical knowledge, and instructional practices. Department consent required. Letter grade only. May be repeated for up to 3 units.
