Description: Introduction to concepts related to the behavior of adaptive/smart materials and systems including modeling, analytical representations and applications. Piezoelectric materials, shape memory alloys, electroactive polymers and magnetorheological fluids are considered. Co-convened with ME 475. Letter grade only.
